IMO from the "prosumers" point of view this is not something fascinating; however, from consumers point of view, that do not want to mess with all that puzzling interchangeable and expensive stuff, this is a perfect camera. For most of them "f stop" means nothing, they just want compact, simple and good camera. Customers question "which is the best compact" is easier to answer now for every supermarket's reseller, even if the question isn't correct.
