Fuji to join mirrorless market with own system in spring 2012

Fuji is not strong enough for an own platform IMHO - just like Ricoh (who combine insufficient company power with an odd product design).

If they want to be successful they must go for either MFT or Sony E mount. The full format alternative would be Leica M - maybe.

Of not making sense, I can't see any other players making significant m4/3 bodies. Why compete directly with two established players in one part of the mirrorless market? There's only so much room for a 3rd party lens manufacturer to eat in there, and I suspect Sigma will take most of that in the mainstream. Similarly I can't see someone else making E-mount bodies. Fuji has to go it alone. I think they have the resources and determination to come up with something interesting. The lower-mid ground is pretty well covered and maybe even a bit saturated for another "me too" player. The top end will be very profitable if they can execute well.
