Nonsense. Dynamic range of the J1 seems decent but ISO noise is clearly worse than a G3/GH2 and is even not up to the really old 12 MP sensor still used in MFT cams, the J1 DXO Mark ISO score is 372, G3 scores 667, GF2 earns 506. Besides, the J1 is an ISO cheater by half a stop or so. E.g. at the ISO 800 setting the measured (real) ISO is just 569. Given that the J1 is a new sensor while the MFT 12 MP sensor dates back to 2008 I actually expected Nikon to put on a better show than they actually did. The size differences are marginal. The J1/V1 have some interesting features, e.g. very high frame rates, that´s all.
