Photo Shops in Europe (or elsewhere)
#1
Hi all,

we are currently looking into partnerships with web shops. It would be nice if you could provide us with a couple of LINKS to popular WEBSHOPS in your country.

We are all set in the US and Germany.

France ? What about fnac.com here ? Anything more popular ?

Italy ?

Canada ?

Australia ?

Spain ?

Uk ?

The Netherlands ?

And all the others ?

Thanks!

For UK, the list could be very long... I see the word "popular" so do I get the correct implication you're after the bigger photo dealers?

For starters:

http://www.jessops.com/

http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />
dA Canon 7D2, 7D, 5D2, 600D, 450D, 300D IR modified, 1D, EF-S 10-18, 15-85, EF 35/2, 85/1.8, 135/2, 70-300L, 100-400L, MP-E65, Zeiss 2/50, Sigma 150 macro, 120-300/2.8, Samyang 8mm fisheye, Olympus E-P1, Panasonic 20/1.7, Sony HX9V, Fuji X100.

Well, only the big ones offer affiliate programs.

Amazon is always a good choice but they don't really pay well here in Europe (very different to the US).

Is Jessops really a popular ONLINE dealer ?

Same goes for Calumet (they also operate shops here in Germany but they're not really into the online business).

Hmmh, no affiliate programs there.

What about Redcoon NL (aka Mediamarkt) ?

What about

MISCO

or

PIXMANIA ?

Both don't play a role here in Germany but they are Pan-European.

Understood.

Jessops are well known as a physical store and also do online as well. I have bought from them online on many occasions but I couldn't give you market data beyond that like how their online compares to in store sales. I have seen affiliate links from them on other web sites so they do that. I can't think of anyone else likely to be bigger.

No personal dealing with Misco. In the UK they give me an impression of catering more to business market than consumer, but that impression might be out of date having seen their current web site.

Pixmania I did try ordering through once, but the process was so horrific I decided not to complete the order.

On that note, I just remembered http://www.play.com/ (UK?) who seem popular although I don't use them myself.

i have no idea about partnership policies from far away and i could only suggest shops with web sites/sales that i have bought from (in the shop) that have been good for me (reliable, good gear and service) but you should check their guarantee or replacement policy - oz isn't usa or germany -

http://www.fotoriesel.com.au/shop/

http://www.photocontinental...categories/home

http://www.mainlinephoto.com.au/

the best strictly online for me (for gear not available locally) - fast, good gear, excellent service and returns policy =

Mediamarkt is not a big online player, and has a very limited DSLR lens range.
