nice article - so i guess the eyes have it then -



they surely make the best candid camera/viewer - and they are always sharp . . . unless they're always soft, + they do the best 3D - also eyelids are the best cleaners -



but maybe eyes don't do a very good long lens . . . unless popping out of your head when they spot a beautiful human at a distance and making you move in for that closer look is a better idea -



and i've yet to see two lenses attract each other the way two sets of eyes do -

It could be more interesting to compare the light sensitive rods and cones on retina vs. photodiodes on a sensor... Of course, + the conversion of light into an image. I think here again the human eye is a marvel: the rods are sensitive to monochrome & low light, and the cones to color and fine detail. It's like having two sensors with different ISO base and color reproduction in one camera!

Yeah, gone with the wind... But the new 1/2" EXR sensor has 8mp ® and 8mp(S) and also it is back-illuminated... So DR + low light performance boost can be expected (for a sensor that much small <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />)...
