The Nikkor 58mm f1.4 for sure dissolves more detail

When you get close, you get a lot (and pretty nice (although the Nikkor 58mm f1.4 probably does that a bit nicer)) blur. The 58mm f1.4 and this 50mm f1.2 will have about the same amount of blur wide open, anyway.
