"Vintage" probably just means MF at this point. Which sounds about right as far as I'm concerned.

Well, you can turn that off while you can not turn on the autofocus (and camera-controlled aperture, etc.) that is not there to start with.
![]() (sincerely yours, C.O.) ![]() I would settle for just AF/AE, and my cameras don't sport and sort of face and eye recognition anyway (though maybe I would've felt better if they had). BTW I wonder how much this lens will cost. Probably 1/10 of the Leica (which was $2500 IIRC... for a 28/5.6 "character" lens, come to think of it). P.S. The news of the Nikon Z 28/2.8 (non-SE) release/pricing add a comparison point... that lens is 300 bucks, though some people may bemoan the all-plastic outer shell.
