Nice, but I think the Panasonic 20-60 is a more interesting proposition for photography.
For vloggers, the Tamron is probably better.

in the middle of nowehere, not small enough to live with the shortcoming of a 2X zoom, I am still waiting for rumored Canon RF 20-40f4 pancake, makes much more sense

Well, it could be a nice dual kit with this and the 70-180 or 35-150, if you don't need anything wider than 20mm (or have that plugged in with a prime like a 14mm). Still would've been cool for them to be releasing a "do it all" UWA prime like 16-35 or 17-40 at f/4 or f/3.5. A man can dream, right?
